Like time zones, the width of credit cards, the height of loading docks and Internet protocols, language has also evolved standardized forms that support the smooth flow of capital. I found myself slipping into using this language while performing my job, while I also noticed my discomfort at doing so. Often discomfort expresses itself to me as laughter, and so, to amuse myself, I collected this language, along with some friends, and we chuckled along together. This video is a meditation on corporate language and a composting of my experience after working in branding for a large corporation. The project plays with the form of a Brand Guidelines document.
